DADA ON COMMAND:

Jett was saying dada on command today so of course we had to document it:

Not fair that this happened after he's spent so many full days alone with me lately (Kansas City has gotten a lot of snow which means that I have gotten quite a few snow days off work in the last week).  

Jett made it up to me though.  I got him to laugh REALLY HARD when I was  doing a very uncoordinated dance for him.  Jake later tried to mimic me to get a laugh equally as big.  Cricket....cricket (and a blank stare).   I have to say I felt pretty good.  After 7 months I finally got a laugh when Jake couldn't.

Is it just my imagination or is he saying what sounds like "again" at the end of the video.  First and last time anyone will say that when I'm dancing!

BIG BOY BATH:

Grandma and Grandpa Foy got this duck bathtub for Jett for Christmas.  Since Jett is sitting well now we decided to use it the other night.  He was a little scared at first but then he liked it.  I have a feeling baths are about to get a lot more fun!

VALENTINES DAY:

This is how Jett felt about Jake and I trying to have some alone time on Valentines Day:

Seriously though, I had to travel for work on the 14th and spend the night away from my boys.  But that didn't stop me from a quick V-Dday photo session with Jett in the morning before I left:

My boys were very thoughtful.  When I got to my hotel with enough take-out food to feed two linebackers (sulking a little about being alone on Valentines Day) I found this sweet flower arrangment waiting in my room.

Here are my thoughts on Valentines Day.  It's certainly not the most imortant holiday ever but I love any excuse to do something sweet for the people I love.  Why not celebrate every moment we can?!

7 MONTHS:

Jett turned 7 months on Saturday.   It was a great day because he got to hang out with two of his best buds.  Xavier de la serna (7 weeks old) and Baby Boy Wolf who will be born any day now.  Looking forward to a lot of fun together in the future!

Here is what Jett is doing at 7 months:

• Weighs 18 lbs 10 oz
• Sitting
• Eating solids twice a day (especially liking fruit)
• Getting on all fours and trying to lunge forward (not crawling yet)
• Saying "da da da da" (not intentional but still exciting for Jake)
• Lately he has been going to bed by 8:00, waking up around 5:00 or 6:00 to eat and then going right back to sleep until 7:30.  I don't really mind the 5:00 wakeup call to eat since he sleeps in a little later if he does that.
• Moving his head back and forth to music
• Working on top teeth

He really is such a good boy.  He makes us feel so lucky!

JETT'S DAILY HOMEWORK:

You won't believe how strict Jake is with Jett.  He makes him watch a minimum of 5 Michael Jackson dance videos per day.  He is determined to make Jett the only kid at his daycare who can moonwalk.  I mean who needs animal sounds, counting, or abc's when you can moonwalk?  As you can see in the video below, Jett doesn't seem to mind too much.

P.S I'm over-exaggerating.  Only one Michael Jackson video per day.  Long live the king of pop!
