Ok, I'm officially getting a little sad. I can't believe my little guy is going to be one in a month! It makes me feel like his days of being "a baby" are numbered and there are times where I wish I could do this whole year over again (knowing what I know now of course:).
Here I was a year ago at this time:
I didn't go into it thinking it would be easy by any means but I had no idea what was in store. There were a lot of things in the last year that seemed difficult (like getting used to the idea of not being able to do what I wanted to do when I wanted to do it). It definitely takes some adapting to be as selfless as you have to be as a parent after 8 years of it being just the two of you. And when you add in the fact that Jake started a practice this year, there were times where we were worn pretty thin. But then when I think of the year as a whole, it was the best year of our life (definitely the most rewarding) and it's almost hard to remember the hard days or why I thought they were hard. Funny how that works.
Ok, I'll save the rest of the reflections for the one year post:). Back to Jett being 11 months today! We have loved seeing his little personality develop and are having so much fun with him. Here is what he's been up to lately:
-Words that he is saying: dada, car, tree, kitty (only at daycare), hi, and yeah
-Has 8 teeth
-Walking with a walker
-Dancing
-Initiating kisses
-Blowing bubbles
-Eating a lot of what we eat (loves turkey, broccoli, bananas, spaghetti, and apples)
11 month photo shoot:
We celebrated my 31st B-day on Thursday! It was a gorgeous day and we spent the whole night outside!
Jett finally got to meet his 2nd cousin Miles over the weekend!
Last but not least, this is what happens to Jett's hair when we don't brush it after a bath. Not his best look!
Next thing I know, I will be writing the "one year blog post." But until then I will be soaking up this time with my sweet little 11 month old.
