APRIL HAPPENINGS:

It's been a fun month!  Jett is surrounded by girls at daycare.  This has become very evident with all of the compliments that he gives.  For example, "I like your dress!"  and "I like your nails!"  We decided it was time for a few boy playdates just to mix things up.

A few weeks ago his friend Eli came over to jump in his bounce house!  They had a great time.

Well...most of the time!

And then this past weekend Jett went to "Monster Jam" with his dad, Aron (Jake's business partner), and his son Davis who is the same age.  They had so much fun!

But who knew watching monster trucks could be so exhausting!?

One more story about Jett.  We've noticed that sometimes he likes to practice what he's going to say to people ahead of time.  Gotta love a guy who likes to be prepared:).  Sometimes he'll do it on the way to daycare and this past weekend he did it on the way to Jake's aunt and uncles.  Right before we got there we heard him in the backseat saying, "I'll say....hi Abby, how are you? Happy Easter everyone!"   Ok, obviously it wasn't Easter but he got such a great response last time he said that to them that he thought it would be a good idea to say it again!

Joss is becoming a new person now that she can get where she wants to go.  She's so much happier and has a sweet little personality.  Now that I can interact with her a lot more I miss her a lot more when I'm away from her.  

We recently had her nine month checkup and she's doing great!  She weighs 18 lbs 4 oz (32%) and is 28.5 inches tall (73%).  After the hour and 10 minutes we had to wait in the exam room to see the doctor where I was holding her and trying to keep her from getting down or touching germy things the entire time, I would have guessed she weighed a lot more!

Here are a few cousin pictures that I wanted to share.  The first is with her cousin Mady from Easter.  The girl cousins have to stick together because they are very outnumbered!

EASTER AND MORE:

First of all, I'm not sure how it's possible that this sweet little thing is 9 months!  Here is what she's been up to lately:

-Repeating sounds (especially yelling) and has said "da da"

-Waving (when she wants to of course)

-Eating a lot

-Belly laughing

-Crawling everywhere

-Pulling herself up on everything she can find 

And of course I had to take some Easter themed photos when she turned 9 months!

We had a great Easter.  Leading up to the day Jett got to celebrate at daycare on Friday.  I just love our daycare.  First they made these little baskets out of applesauce containers.  

Tamra (daycare provider) laid out shredded lettuce (to use for the  grass) and a bunch of different berries and other little fruits and veggies on the table.  Each kiddo got to pick what they wanted to put in their "basket" and that was their morning snack.  

They also did an easter egg hunt in the afternoon and Jett scored some great stuff!

When he came home he was asking to eat his "Easter candy" and was so pumped about it.

We spent the day before Easter with my family on the farm and Easter Sunday with Jake's family in wahoo.  

We started Easter morning by hiding part of their breakfast in "nests" in their room.  So the first thing Jett saw when he woke up was a nest with a Lara bar in it (his favorite) and he was so excited.  I think you can see most of it stuck in his teeth in the pic below!

When we went downstairs there were several more nests for the kids to find.  It was a fun morning!

Here are some after church pictures.  Everyone had kind of had it at that point but I told Jett the pictures were for the Easter Bunny so that helped a lot!

On Monday morning (the day after Easter) I went into Jett's room to get him and he said, "IS IT EASTER TIME?"  I said, "No buddy, it's just Monday!"  He said, "I don't want Monday!"  He's right, the day after a Holiday is always so depressing!  Luckily he has a few things coming up to look forward to.  This weekend Georgia and Eli are coming over to play.  Also, he gets to go to "Monster Jam" in two weeks with his friend Davis (and their dads of course).  He's pretty excited and has already been wearing his headphones to block out noise.
