Hello again! I'm realizing why I usually try to blog once a week. After a few weeks pass without writing a post, it’s hard to get back into it.
The day after Thanksgiving we got together with some of my high school friends who we don’t get to see nearly enough. It’s always refreshing to be with this group and to realize that no matter how much time passes, some things will never change!
Since then we’ve been busy getting ready for Christmas. Jake put a train set around the tree and both kids love watching it go around! I’ve really enjoyed Christmas shopping this year just knowing how much more Jett will get into everything! We’ve tried to explain the real meaning of Christmas to him. Since he loves singing the Happy Birthday song he’s very excited that it’s going to be Jesus’s Birthday next week!

I had to do a comparison picture of the kids with Santa hats. The first picture is Jett when he was 5 months old and the second picture is of Joss taken a few weeks ago when she turned 5 months old. They actually don't look as similar as I thought they would in this picture.
A few weekends ago there was a celebration at the Presbyterian church in Wahoo to honor Jake’s grandparents. They have been serving the church as custodians for 50 years! To honor them the fellowship hall was named after them. It is now called “Torrens Hall!” It was a great day and well deserved recognition for them. Jett had fun running around with his cousins!
I know this is the case with all 2 year olds but every day Jett says something new that cracks us up or we have no idea where it came from. For example, the other day he told me he didn’t want to eat something. I started to take it away and he said, “ok, I’ll give it a chance!” He still goes to bed well for us at night but has recently started talking for quite a while after we lay him down. He is always saying things like, “MOM, come here! I have to tell you something!” And then when I get into his room he’ll say, “My leg was stuck!” I’ll say, “Is it still stuck?” and he’ll say “No, it’s not!” I guess he just wants to let me know. And whenever Joss lets out a random cry at night I’ll hear him saying, “It’s ok Joss…you’ll be fine!” Followed by, “I can’t believe she’s up!” Joss loves watching Jett and he always wants to know what she’s doing.
Joss is 5 ½ months now. She is rolling all over the place! She seems to be growing a lot and is getting chunkier by the day. One thing we’ve noticed is that she kind of has a temper. Instead of crying, she just yells when she’s mad. She’s doing great at daycare and we are so happy that both kids love it there!
